The Malibu Kiwanis Club, Point Dume Marine Science School and local business owners host a holiday party for the Children’s Lifesaving Foundation’s Project Angel Wings Holiday Program.

The Kiwanis Club of Malibu, Point Dume Marine Science School’s Community Service Commission and Malibu-resident owned companies came together to sponsor holiday events for the Children’s Lifesaving Foundation’s Project Angel Wings Holiday Program this month.

The Malibu Kiwanis Club sponsored a party for more than 100 low-income, at-risk youth on Dec. 15. The Point Dume Community Service Commission, led by mom Ali Thonson, showed up to prepare a pancake and sausage breakfast for all of the children at the event.

Local companies such as Cal Supply, Topson-Downs, JAKKS Pacific and KAYO sponsored other parties, aiding more than 350 at-risk children.

“The Malibu schools have been holding unbelievably generous Toy Drives since 1994,”CLF Founder Maria D’Angelo said. “Everyone in Malibu has been extra amazing this year. This is what this season is truly all about. I wish everyone could experience it the way we can.”
