Malibu resident Janet Laird’s picture of a 200-pound marlin jumping out of the ocean off the coast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico recently received an “honorable mention” award for a photo contest sponsored by Billfish magazine. The photo appears in the current issue. The magazine is published by The Billfish Foundation, which works worldwide to advance the conservation of billfish and related species, and to improve the health of the oceans.
