In response to “True courage” published Jan. 25.

Ms. Pollon might concern herself more with “true facts” than with so-called “true courage.” She misstates both the facts and the law when she insists that “no one can become a U.S. citizen without taking the citizenship test in English.” English is, of course, the official language of both California and the U.S. of A., but there are U.S. citizens as well as illegal aliens who cannot speak, read or write English. Mr. Wilson’s comments centered around illegal aliens invading our nation. Ms. Pollon’s family does not fit that profile. I am not sure why she bothered. I don’t really care where her family is from, but I am interested to know whether she supports the rule of law.
