David Uebersax has joined The Malibu Times as an accountant. A graduate of USC’s Marshall School of Business, Uebersax’s newspaper roots in the area go back 20 years to the Thousand Oaks News Chronicle, prior to its merge with Scripps Howard sister papers to become the Ventura County Star. From there he has handled advertising for regional publications such as Valley Magazine and national trade magazines, before extending into management of circulation and fulfillment, MIS and New Media.

A 35-year resident of Agoura, Uebersax has served on the Agoura Hills Open Space Task Force and chaired the Community Services Advisory Council relating to recreation programs, special events and capital improvement projects. Uebersax has also served several terms as vice president of the Agoura/Las Virgenes Chamber of Commerce.

A true renaissance man, Uebersax has played music with folk dance and theatrical troupes, performed with the Moorpark Symphony and other community ensembles, and marched with the Trojan Marching Band and at the 1984 Olympics Opening Ceremonies.
