Last week in Sacramento, directors from the Malibu Association of Realtors met with a legislative assistant of Assembly Majority Leader Charles M. Calderon to discuss issues with Assembly Bill 317, which could potentially affect rent control in all California mobile home parks.

The Malibu association said it will review changes to the bill and will continue to lobby for local residents who could adversely be affected by it. Governor Jerry Brown made a speech and discussed the major role Realtors play in the state’s economy, and said he would review all the legislative recommendations made by the Realtors.
