The National Weather Service has placed Malibu and surrounding areas in Los Angeles County under a Red Flag Warning from Saturday evening through Sunday. High winds, low humidity and the presence of dry fuels have combined to bring increased risk of fire. High winds are expected to increase sharply Saturday evening, gusting as high as 45 miles per hour. Humidities of 10 to 15 percent are expected in the warning area. High winds are expected to persist through 3 p.m. Sunday.
