The Pepperdine women’s beach volleyball team came up out on top against the USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins during the home opening day at Zuma Beach. The skies cleared just in time for the March 3 matches, giving Pepperdine a chance to compete.
The team defeated USC with a score of 3-2, and UCLA with a score of 4-1. The rival teams are ranked No. 1 and No. 3, respectively; the Waves are ranked No. 5.
The women’s beach volleyball team heads to Long Beach State to compete against the 49ers on Wednesday, March 7.
