Saturday’s fireworks display off of Sea Lane, without any warning, was very upsetting to all the animals in the area and to myself. We have horses to take care of and they get very upset with the sound and sight of the explosions and the light patterns. If we know there is to be a display we can be out there with them and this helps them stay calmer. I’m in bed by ten in order to feed by six in the morning and this display woke me up. I ran out to the horses and it went on to 10:15.
This was the second of unexpected displays since the Fourth of July. No more, please!
