The Pepperdine men’s basketball team swept its first road series since 2002 with wins at Brigham Young University (67-61) and at the University of San Diego (59-47) last weekend. The Waves are now 11-5 overall and 4-1 in the West Coast Conference and will host No. 6 Gonzaga on Thursday, Jan. 15, at 7:30 p.m. as well as Portland on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 5 p.m.
Coach Marty Wilson expressed his desire for the Malibu community to come out and support the Waves as they prepare to battle the sixth-ranked Bulldogs at Firestone Fieldhouse.
“We need everybody there. We need that place rocking,” Wilson said. “We need all the help we can get.”
A sell-out crowd is anticipated and tickets are still available for the WCC showdown.
