MUSE School hosted the second annual Animal Hero Kids Awards on Dec. 2. The event honored young animal advocates in five award categories. Among those who attended the event were Russell Simmons, MUSE founder Suzy Amis-Cameron, Renee Olstead, Sierra McCormick and Bonnie-Jill Laflin.
MUSE School won the Animal Hero Kids School Hero to All Award for becoming the first school in the U.S. beginning in 2015 to implement an all plant-based menu in its cafeteria. Other awards given out were the Russell Simmons Creative Animal Hero Kids Award, Paul McCartney Animal Hero Kids Young Veg Advocate Award, Ricky Williams Animal Hero Kids Teen Award and Animal Hero Kids Kind to All Award.
