El Nido Family Centers honors 50-year Pacific Palisades resident Fred Samulon with the John Abel Lifetime Achievement Award. The award, named after a Malibu resident, will be presented on Saturday, Sept. 23, at El Nido’s Garden Gala in Beverly Hills.
El Nido Family Centers is a nonprofit dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect. Samulon, who emigrated to the U.S. in 1947, moved to the area soon after arriving. He served as a volunteer management consultant before joining the El Nido Board of Directors in 2005.
