The Las Virgenes Educational Foundation, together with the Artists for the Arts Foundation, is proud to present “Benefit for the Arts,” an evening of music to benefit the arts programs of the Las Virgenes Unified School District at the Fred Kavli Theater in the Thousand Oaks Civics Arts Plaza on Feb. 27. The event will feature an appearance by Tommy Shaw, lead singer of “Styx,” and international recording artists Michael McDonald and the band “Venice,” who will be performing with 62 LVUSD student musicians. The event will be hosted by honorary chair John Schneider, and 100 percent of ticket proceeds will go to arts programs for all LVUSD students, whose art will be featured at the event as well. Tickets are available through LVEF (email dawn@mylvef.org), at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza box office or through Ticketmaster.com.
