On Tuesday, July 26, Chabad of Conejo hosted a police appreciation event at Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station to “join together as a bold demonstration of support for, and solidarity with, local law enforcement agencies,” according to event organizer Rabbi Moshe Bryski. The event was planned in response to recent attacks against police, including the murder of officers in Dallas, Texas and Baton Rouge, La.
Dozens of local residents of all ages came to the sheriff’s station to show support for local law enforcement and enjoy pizza and refreshments. Representatives from the areas served by the local station, including Mayor Lou La Monte, attended the afternoon event.
