Young Olympians demonstrated their tenacity and fierce abilities to take on physical challenges at the City of Malibu’s annual Tiny Tot Olympics.

Malibu locals brought their young children to Malibu Bluffs Park on Sunday morning, where they began making their way through the Olympic games—12 in all.

Children ages two to six years old gathered for the annual torch run and opening ceremonies at noon, led by City of Malibu Senior Center Recreation Coordinator Lisa Crepo. Crepo had the little olympians stretch out, hold their torches as they  ran, making their way around the field, and then continue on to the Olympic challenges. Parents couldn’t keep up with their kids, who dove into each activity with ease, going from one station to the next.

“Tiny Tot Olympics was a huge success due to the Community Services class instructors that came out to sponsor individual events and local community support,” Adrianna Fiori, Recreation Coordinator City of Malibu said. “This event was a great way to kick off the Community Services 2018-19 event season.  It was a beautiful day filled with fun activities and happy families.”

This was the first year the city included a raffle prize—two lucky participants won a scooter from Micro Kickboard.
