Wind advisories are up for Malibu.
Areas of north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph late this morning through Friday morning.
Isolated gusts to 50 mph tonight across the San Fernando Valley and western portions of the Los Angeles coast … including Malibu to Hollywood Hills.
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a High Surf Advisory, which is in effect until 8 AM PDT Friday.
Surf will build to 6 to 8 ft with local sets to 9 ft at west to northwest facing beaches through early Friday morning.
Surf will continue to be elevated through Friday but should stay below 7 feet.

Homeowners in Sycamore Park are reacting to the 15 million dollar lawsuits filed against each of them by the Mountains Recreation and Conservations Authority … the M R C A.
We reported yesterday that the lawsuits were 5 million dollars each … that was an error … each homeowner is defending a 15 million dollar lawsuit filed by the state agency.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is hired by the City of Malibu … and many other cities … to act as our city police department.
Now comes word from downtown that the countywide department is facing a projected 40 million deficit … and has vacancies of more than 1,000 deputies.
