Two hikers stranded in Topanga State Park were hoisted to safety by a Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACFD) helicopter Saturday night, said David Katz of Malibu’s Search and Rescue (SAR) Team.
Katz said rescue crews were called to Topanga State Park after 7 p.m. where a male and female hiker had become stranded in a ridgeline.
A LACFD helicopter coordinated with Katz, who flashed a green laser pointer and lights on his rescue truck to help guide the copter to the hikers. Neither hiker was injured.Â
