DUI Checkpoint Nets 15 Arrests

A DUI checkpoint conducted by the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station resulted in the arrest of 15 motorists on Friday, March 4.

One motorist was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence and eight unlicensed drivers were arrested and sent to court.

More than 1,100 motorists passed through the checkpoint and roughly 900 drivers were checked.

Statistics from the March checkpoint include:

– 1,119 vehicles drove through the checkpoint.

– 941 drivers were checked.

– One driver was arrested for DUI. 

– Eight unlicensed drivers were arrested and sent to court.

– Four motorists driving on suspended licenses were arrested and sent to court.

– Two suspects with warrants were arrested and sent to court.
