Malibu resident Lucie W. Brown died Dec. 9 at the age of 80.
Brown was born to James Wray and Beatrice Burwell in Gulfport, Miss. on Oct. 2, 1928. She retired as an administrative assistant with Motorola Semiconductor in Phoenix, Az. after almost 30 years, and moved to Malibu in 2005.
Brown enjoyed retirement and spent her time playing games, golfing, reading, traveling, and going to lunch and movies with friends.
Brown was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Elizabeth. She is survived by her stepmother, Patsy Wray of South Carolina; daughter, Kay Schrock; husband, Don Schrock of Malibu; son, Shelton Brown from Three Rivers, Ca; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Private services were held on Dec. 14 at the family ranch in Three Rivers, Ca. Private internment will take place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale, Az. at a later date. The family requests any donations be made to the donation giver’s local hospice.
