Santa Monica Mayor Richard Bloom has doubled his lead over Assemblywoman Betsy Butler in the race for the 50th Assembly District, the Santa Monica Daily Press reports.
Bloom’s lead increased from a 439 to an 888-vote margin between Friday and Monday, according to the Los Angeles County Clerk/Registrar Recorder’s Office. It is the largest lead he has had in the race.
The most recent update includes 72,087 votes, and the next update was scheduled to take place Wednesday.
