A new local restaurant, Burgerfi, had its soft opening this week with its grand opening loosely scheduled for Christmas week. Conveniently located at 3939 Cross Creek Road, D200, Malibu residents and visitors can now enjoy these famous burgers and hot dogs locally.
With multiple burger restaurants opening up in the Malibu area over the past few months, many may wonder what makes this burger joint different. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of Burgerfi’s business is its eco-friendly commitment. Burgerfi even uses chairs made from recycled coke bottles and tabletops made from reclaimed lumber. More importantly, Burgerfi offers 100 percent all-natural beef that is age and source verified and “never-ever” any hormones, steroids or antibiotics. Their veggie patties are made in-house daily and, according to franchise owner Robert Alimena, “They are so good, they can’t be explained; they just need to be tasted.” Burgerfi offers delicious and creamy frozen custard and features beers and local wines on tap or by the bottle.
Another major benefit offered by Burgerfi is their Fi on the Fly program. Starting on Dec. 12, Fi on the Fly allows you to order your food online with ease. Simply download the app on your smartphone or go onto Burgerfi’s website and register at burgerfi.com. This online ordering program is easy and fast and gives you an estimated time when your food will be ready. You can even schedule your order for a specific pick-up time.
Burgerfi is a fast, casual and mid price-range restaurant that aims to be eco and health conscious. Malibu residents will be receiving a Burgerfi postcard in the mail within the next week or so announcing the official grand opening. If you find yourself curious, or perhaps just aim to see if this is indeed the best burger in Malibu, stop by and give it a taste for yourself.
