Tim Herot was this year’s recipient of the Tyler Love Memorial Study Abroad Scholarship. This scholarship is given by Teri Love to a student who has a love of languages, and the desire and love for travel, biking and a gregarious personality. Also the person must show qualities of the scholarship’s namesake, including friendliness, true happiness of spirit, love of family and friends and a desire for a nontraditional learning experience.
The scholarship is named in memory of Tyler Love, who graduated from Malibu High School in 2001. Love believed that one of the most rewarding times of his life was spent participating in the learning abroad program at Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy.
