A wind advisory is set to take effect in Malibu at 3 p.m. Wednesday, lasting through 10 p.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The NWS predicts strong northwest to north winds gusting up to 60 miles per hour, with sustained winds around 30 MPH Wednesday afternoon and overnight.
Wind speed is predicted to gradually drop off starting Thursday morning.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution, particularly when operating high profile vehicles.
In addition to Malibu, the advisory predicts high winds in surrounding areas in both Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
