Caltrans plans to close the 101 Freeway—known as the Ventura Freeway—overnight in Calabasas from Feb. 7-15.
The closure will take place at Lost Hills Road for bridge construction. Girders are being placed for a new bridge structure, causing Caltrans to replace the current bridge. The construction is also designed to create improvement in the on and off ramp design.
The closures—weather-permitting—will start at 10 p.m. through 6 a.m. Caltrans plans on having at least two lanes in each direction open by 5 a.m. each day.
Here is the tentative closure schedule:
- Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 10 p.m.—two eastbound lanes closed
- Thursday, Feb. 8, at 10 p.m.—two eastbound lanes closed
- Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 10 p.m.—two westbound and two eastbound lanes closed
- Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 10 p.m.—two westbound lanes closed
Signs will be in place to warn drivers ahead of the closures. The dates and times are subject to change.
