The Malibu Library began the first Winter Storytime of the new year on Wednesday. Children’s Librarian Leena Walker shared books and spoke about the upcoming Chinese New Year. After listening to stories, the children decorated horses to celebrate Chinese New Year, The Year of the Horse. Walker’s happy to begin story time again, she said, “The library is a creative environment where families can relax and share the joy of reading, exploring and using one’s imagination.” Winter Storytime takes place every Wednesday through Feb. 12, baby and toddlers (0-2) storytime and play 11:30-12:30, and preschool (2+) storytime and crafts 3:30-4:30.
