Former Pepperdine University tennis player, Robert Lindstedt, reached the doubles final at Wimbledon for the third year in a row. He is currently ranked 10th in the ATP doubles rankings.
Lindstedt and his partner, Horia Tecau, opened the tournament with three straight sets to advance to the quarterfinals. The pair ended up reaching the finals but lost to Jonathan Marray and Frederik Nielsen in a five-set match.
Lindstedt will likely be playing for Sweden at the 2012 Olympics in London in the men’s doubles event and possibly in the mixed doubles event as well.
Lindstedt was the NCAA runner-up doubles champion for Pepperdine in 1998, and he won five straight doubles matches to reach the finals at the All England Club.
