Former Malibu resident Kelsey Forde married Marc Wilson on April 28 in Newport Beach. Marc proposed to Kelsey on a street corner in New Orleans, with a ring he had designed himself. The couple met at a friend’s barbecue in Los Angeles.

Forde grew up in Malibu, attending Webster Elementary, Malibu Park Middle School and Malibu High School, from which she graduated in 1999. While living in Malibu, she performed in the Malibu Civic Ballet and competed on the Malibu High swim team. After high school, she earned a degree in merchandise marketing at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She is now studying to earn a bachelor’s degree in business at Kendall College in Chicago, where she and her husband reside.

Wilson graduated from Barrington High School in Illinois and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology at Duke University. He also holds a masters in psychology from Pepperdine University, and in the fall he will be studying for a doctorate in Industrial Organization Psychology at the Chicago School of Psychology.
