On Wednesday afternoon — the day before Thanksgiving — Gan Malibu Preschool hosted a lunch to kick off the holiday weekend.
Students, parent volunteers and Director Jennifer Sherman shared a Thanksgiving feast with representatives from several local agencies, including firefighters and lifeguards. Representatives from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station included Deputy Jennifer Glennan, Deputy Michael Treinen, Lieutenant Jim Royal and Lieutenant Tina Baker.
The children had made invitations for each service member and hand delivered them before the lunch. The food was prepared by parent volunteers and children at Gan.
On display during the Thanksgiving lunch were papers hanging on strings that explained what students were thankful for this year.
