holes in it
The Coastal Commission is requiring wildlife permeable fences that must allow coyotes, bobcats and mountain lions to pass through. Does that mean a small hole for bobcats, a medium sized hole for coyotes and a large hole for mountain lions? Deer aren’t mentioned. Or will one large hole do for all? Or should the three holes be choreographed throughout the design of the entire fence?
There is no doubt that the commission is anxious to introduce us all to the wildlife of the mountains. Adults, dogs, cats, horses and even little children can meet wildlife up close and personal. Families will have the opportunity to form life-long friendships depending on how long their life span is.
Do you have a fence? Do you have children? Do you live in an area of wildlife? Then this affects you. Your opinion as an individual citizen still means something until they pass this over-engineered, restrictive plan in September 2002.
