Malibu High School is opening its tree lot for business this year with a special presentation of a wheelchair to a veteran by the Malibu Kiwanis Club on Sunday, Nov. 30. The club will donate a $15,000 medical mobility all-terrain wheelchair to Cpl. Josue Barron, a retired marine who was deployed to Afghanistan, where he served in the infantry in the Helmand Province. Barron lost his left eye and leg in the explosion of an enemy device.

The presentation will take place at the MHS Booster Club Tree Lot, located at the intersection of Heathercliff Road and Pacific Coast Highway, on Sunday at 1 p.m. For more information, call 310.924.1179.
