Residents in areas of Point Dume should expect temporary electricity interruptions throughout the day Wednesday, as Southern California Edison performs maintenance on the electrical system on the west side of Fernhill Dr, north of Cliffside Dr and the East side of Portshead Rd, south of Selfridge Dr.
The outages are scheduled to begin as early as 8 a.m. and could last until 4 p.m. in both places, though an alert on the City of Malibu website states that “the power may be off for the whole period or may be turned off more than once.”
According to the alert, service will be interrupted to upgrade aging infrastructure, make needed improvements and complete other repairs.
