Along with my grandchildren, I joined the Pt. Dume Fourth of July parade. It was great fun for all. And very patriotic, with multiple flags displayed all along the route.
But all this could change if we adopt the draft Local Coastal Plan. There will be restrictions allowing only one American flag on a property.
Can you believe that a government entity would want to curtail this kind of enthusiasm shown for love of our nation?
How can I explain to my grandchildren that they will all have to share but one flag? Or even worse, perhaps no parade at all will be allowed if you read the LCP about temporary events.
