Ninety percent of the arguments in the “Letters to the Editor” give the other 10 percent a bad reputation. The Malibu Times reported that Malibu home sales were off 33 percent from last year, yet Laura Rosenthal in her letter to The Malibu Times, defending her support of Proposition BB, talks about how thankful Malibuites should be that our schools have increased our property values, and that is why we should vote for Measure “Big Bucks.” If homes are having a problematical time selling, maybe the reason is that it is now just too costly to buy and live in Malibu. It’s time we stopped adding to that price tag with endless bond measures and found another way of financing our local schools.
