Malibu resident and “Avatar” director James Cameron participated in a Feb. 22 discussion with Elvis Mitchell, host of KCRW’s “The Treatment,” to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council at the Zanuck Theater on the 20th Century Fox Studios Lot.
They screened excerpts from “Avatar,” and talked about the public’s reaction to the environmental message of the film.
Cameron and his wife, Suzy Amis Cameron, are supporters of the NRDC. Suzy is a member of the organization’s Leadership Council.
Malibu resident Kelly Meyer, co-chair of the Los Angeles NRDC Leadership Council, was instrumental in inviting selected Malibu High School students to attend the event.
