The Emily Shane Foundation hosted a fundraiser, “A Night of Passing it Forward,” on Saturday at the Malibu Inn to benefit the Successful Educational Achievement program, which provides individual mentors to children in middle school with learning disabilities. The evening’s gala included red carpet arrivals, a silent auction, food and drinks, musical performances and entertainment.
The Emily Shane Foundation was started by Ellen and Michel Shane after their 13-year-old daughter, Emily, was struck by a driver on PCH.
The foundation also includes the Pass it Forward Campaign, encouraging everyone to do good deeds.
The Saturday evening event was spent celebrating Emily’s life, raising funds to help children in need and “Passing it Forward.”
