Pepperdine University has named Carl Smith as the new assistant coach of the men’s golf team. Smith, a 2010 Pepperdine graduate, has been an assistant pro at Calabasas Country Club and Sunset Hills Country Club, in addition to playing professionally over the past few years.
“Carl is going to bring enthusiasm and energy to the position and is going to be a great example for our younger players,” head coach John Geiberger said. “He’s got such a great knowledge of the game. He’s been through the school and the program and he knows what Pepperdine is all about. He can teach that and be a great leader for the team.”
