Local attorney Yolande Erickson received the Jack H. Skirball Community Justice Award from Bet Tzedek Legal Services at their annual Dinner Gala on Jan. 31. Erickson, an attorney with Bet Tzedek, was selected for the award because of her dedication to the judicial system.
A member of the Elder Rights Practice at the agency, Erickson is an internationally recognized expert in the field of conservatorship law. She has been involved with creating the “Family Matters” project, which helps families with developmentally delayed young adults, and the “Transitions” project, which addresses newly recognized legal and social needs of aging, developmentally delayed individuals.
