Local kindergarten through eighth grade students can take part in affordable enrichment classes this summer through the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District’s (SMMUSD) Summer Adventure program.

Co-sponsored by the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation (SMMEF) and Santa Monica-Malibu Council of PTAs, the program provides sessions in both Santa Monica and Malibu from June 20 through July 22, with registration opening Monday, March 14.

Elementary classes include cooking, theater, dance, poetry, sports and more. Among middle school class offerings are website building, languages, art and rock climbing. A full-morning program is available for incoming kindergarteners, as well as a “Middle School Masters” class for incoming sixth graders.

Summer Adventure classes are taught mostly by SMMUSD teachers in a relaxed school setting. For more information and to register, visit smmpta.org/summeradventure.
