Olympic diver Greg Louganis, 53, married paralegal Johnny Chaillot, 52, in a sunset ceremony at Geoffrey’s in Malibu on Saturday, October 12th.
The intimate ceremony including 160 of the couple’s closest friends and family with the wedding party comprised of Chaillot’s four sisters and Louganis’ diving coach Ron O’ Brien.
“It was amazing because I have so many people from all facets of my life here tonight and they are all here celebrating it is all wonderful,” Louganis told People Magazine after the wedding ceremony.
Instead of a traditional wedding registry, the couple asked for donations for the Human Rights Campaign and Mending Kids International.
Louganis and Chaillot started dating in 2012 after meeting on Match.com and became engaged a year later on April 8.
Louganis won gold medals in the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games in both the spring board and platform and recently coached ABC’s diving competition “Splash.”
In 1988 Louganis tested positive for HIV and later in a 1995 interview with Oprah Winfrey, came out as gay.
