A female hiker fell from Escondido Falls on Thursday afternoon, according to Malibu Search and Rescue Team Captain David Katz, and suffered a head injury when she reportedly hit her head on a rock.
Fire and rescue crews planned on airlifting the hiker from the area with a helicopter winch and transporting her to UCLA Medical Center, Katz said. He described the 30-year-old hiker in a “altered level of consciousness.”
