The Pepperdine’s men’s water polo team conquered Air Force this past weekend with a 20-6 victory. Poway native Sam Paur scored an impressive three times in the first half, helping his team to go into the second half with a 9-3 lead.
Redshirt junior Mark Urban dominated with four goals against the challengers, finishing the match as lead scorer for the Waves. Pepperdine had a spectacular nine saves during the entire competition — with juniors Zach Rhodes leading with five and Phillippe Marco following with four.
The Waves head back to the pool to compete against Long Beach State in a conference matchup this Friday and will host Loyola Marymount on Saturday.
