Webster Elementary School alumnus Zack Bornstein was named the Male Athlete of the Meet at the Covina Invitational at Azusa Pacific University on March 29. Bornstein represented Oaks Christian at the meet; the team finished in third place with 50 points. Bornstein accumulated 30 of those points by winning the discus, the 110-meter hurdles and the pole vault competitions.
Bornstein plans to spend the rest of the year focusing on decathlon competitions, concluding with the World Junior Championships in Eugene, Ore., in July.
