Malibu resident Rick Henn, along with Vic Jacobs, Florence LaRue and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, will ride aboard the Discover Los Angeles float in the 127th Rose Parade on Jan. 1, 2016. The float, which is created by the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, was crafted with the 2016 Rose Parade Theme: “Find Your Adventure.”
Henn is a composer and leader of the band The Sunrays. The float will play a version of his band’s song “I Live For The Sun,” which was originally recorded in the mid-1960s.
