Top student fundraisers (names not released) got to throw a pie in the face of Juan Cabrillo Elementary School principal Barry Yates after meeting his challenge. Yates had offered to receive the dessert special if Juan Cabrillo students met the goal of raising approximately $5,000 for Jump Rope for Heart, an educational health organization. While participating in the Jump Rope for Heart program, students learned about heart health, enjoyed jumping rope, and raised funds to support heart and stroke research.
