Oscar Best and Lou Gossett, Jr. are up for the NAACP Theatre Award for best lead actor and best director in a play for their work in “Blood Knot.”

Lou Gossett, Jr. and Oscar Best received two nominations from the NAACP Theatre Awards for their work in “Blood Knot” — a play that ran at the Malibu Playhouse. Best was nominated for best lead actor in a play and Gossett was nominated for best director in a play. “Blood Knot” was produced by Richard Johnson and Diane Peterson.

The NAACP Theatre Awards is presented by the Beverly Hills/Hollywood NAACP Branch. The ceremony will take place on Nov. 17 at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.
