Kindergarten and first grade students from Point Dume Marine Science School took part in hands-on learning activities last week during a walking field trip to Little Dume. The students observed the habitat and reviewed what they have been learning in the science lab at school.
The group spotted and identified things like sea urchins, muscles, barnacles, crabs, sand crabs, dolphins and a seal, among others. They also collected and recycled pieces of trash they found in the tide pools.
