The City of Malibu and the Los Angeles County Fire Department are conducting a series of Community Emergency Response Team training classes. The classes take place Thursday evenings Sept. 5, 12, 19 and Oct. 3, 10 and 17. One Wednesday evening class takes place Sept. 25.
The classes cover topics such as disaster preparedness, fire suppression and first aid, among others.
Participants must attend all classes to complete the course.
Classes take place at Malibu City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Rd., from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
