Malibu resident, director, screenplay writer, playwright and author Diane Namm has founded a non-profit theater company, West of Broadway, to promote literacy by adapting classics and producing affordable theater for family and school audiences. This holiday season, West of Broadway will present a high-energy, interactive retelling of Dickens’s “Christmas Carol.”
On Dec. 20, Malibu Stage Company will host a celebrity performance of “Mrs. Scrooge,” starring Malibu resident Drake Hogestyn (“Days of Our Lives”) and Darby Stanchfield (“Mad Men”).
A silent auction and wine reception precede the 8 p.m. performance, from which all proceeds benefit future West of Broadway shows.
