Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw recently sold their Malibu home for $26 million, according to reports by the Los Angeles Times and Curbed.
The home, which earlier rumors had valued to be worth nearly $35 million, was sold in an off-market deal to an unnamed buyer.
Located on Malibu’s Broad Beach, the property includes a main house as well as a guesthouse. Sand replenishment at the famous beach is set to begin later this year, following massive erosion of sand in the area.Â
The 7,237-square-foot main house features seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a formal living room and two dining rooms.
Amenities in the main house include a massage room, state-of-the-art home theater and private library.
With a stunning pool and spa, as well as several ocean-view terraces, the main house is an oasis from city life.
In addition to the main house, the two-bedroom guesthouse includes expansive oceanfront views.
Spielberg, who acquired the two-parcel property in two separate transactions in 1989 and 2000, had previously listed the home for rent at $150,000 per month during the summer season.
