Longtime Malibu resident Fumi Connors passed away Feb. 1 in the town she loved.
Connors was born in Okayama, Japan on Feb. 16, 1931, and arrived in the U.S. in 1958. She spent many years volunteering with the Juan Cabrillo Parent Teacher Association before finding a career in trade with Japan.
“Everyone who knew Fumi loved her warm spirit and generosity,” a loved one said. “She will be greatly missed.”
Connors is survived by her daughters, Rhea Connors and Tomi Corbett, their spouses, and five grandchildren.
