The Malibu Rotary Club is cosponsoring a fundraiser on April 13 in Westlake Village for Project TRIUMPH, a program that brings Arab and Jewish teenagers together in the sprit of collaboration.
Project TRIUMPH students travel to the United States, where they go through an intensive 12-month program that guides them in achieving understanding, respect, fellowship and co-existence in their region. The students train with professional instructors in this country and return to Israel to undertake community projects to spread the message of peace between the two cultures.
The fundraiser will include a wine tasting, live music, a performance by international award-winning magician Mark Furey, Middle Eastern buffet catered by Ali Baba Restaurant and a live auction.
The event will take place at the First Neighborhood Community Center, located at 31830 Village Center Road. The start time is 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $50. For more information, call 805.498.7262.
